Visiting President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s Home 🇱🇰 | Thambuttegama 🫶

✍ We had a truly unforgettable experience visiting our President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's home. It was a simple and humble house - no guards, no security. Inside, we were warmly welcomed by his mother and sister. They treated us to a delicious meal and drinks with so much love and kindness. One of the most inspiring moments was meeting his 88-year-old mother. Full of grace and strength, she still walks on her own without support. We had a heartwarming discussion with her and listened to her beautiful stories. Afterwards, we explored the charming Thambuththegama village. The journey took us to the breathtaking Rajanganaya Reservoir, where we enjoyed a magical sunset that painted the sky with golden colors. For the night, we stayed in a tree house - a truly unique experience. Together, we cooked Kurakkan roti for dinner, and the night was filled with laughter, songs, and friendship until morning. The next day, we visited the President’s school, where we met his teachers. They shared touching stories about his early life, giving us a glimpse of his journey from childhood to leadership.
