In this video, I demonstrate how to determine symmetric points in a coordinate system about the x-axis, the y-axis, and the origin. I present the principles for transforming the coordinates of points for each of these symmetries and discuss how the x- and y-coordinate values ​​change depending on the type of symmetry. I teach how to draw auxiliary lines perpendicular to the axis, how to measure distances, and how to use compasses to construct symmetric points. I demonstrate the relationships: for symmetry about the x-axis, only the y-coordinate changes, for symmetry about the y-axis, only the x-coordinate changes, and for symmetry about the origin, both coordinates change.
