A New Here: How Practice Opens Different Worlds — Tatsudo Nicole Baden — Dharma Talk at Green Gulch

This talk was given at Green Gulch Farm by Tatsudo Nicole Baden, abbess of Crestone Mountain Zen Center and Zen Buddhist Center Black Forest (Germany). In this talk Nicole Baden Roshi explores how Zen practice literally shifts the architecture of our experience — from a narrow, biographical “here” into a living, embodied field of contact. Based on her personal experience from starting to practice Zen at an early age, she is exploring how attention can be re-routed from a thinking mind into the feeling body. She speaks about why that shift matters now — for ethical response, wider-than-human solidarity, and finding reliable sources of action in a time of polycrisis.
