Creating a Beautiful Phenology Wheel: Nature's Calendar
Every day since January 1st I've been going into my garden to record natural data, such as leaves, flowers etc. I also record the temperature and the day length too, and I do all this on something called a Phenology Wheel. In this video I'll be showing you how to set up a wheel of your own and also how mine is looking as I start on the wheel for November. Phenology is the study of seasonal changes, be it flowers, birds, migrations or simply the weather. I did mine as a way of reconnecting with my garden and also as a means of doing some daily watercolour practice. I hope you will be encouraged to start your own Phenology Wheel. Although it seems appropriate to start one at the turn of the year in January, they can always be started at any point in the year at all and then you just keep carrying on! Here's the app I've used all year to find out the day length where I live... https://www.timeanddate.com/ If you feel able to help support my channel I have a Ko-Fi page and really appreciate any support there at all.
