President Lai Ching-te, the party chairman, held a press conference today (July 1st) to launch the "Taiwan Good Life" joint policy platform, outlining four measures: salary increases, tax cuts, increased welfare, and reduced burdens. He also quoted from the "Great Harmony" chapter of the Book of Rites, stating that "the elderly should have a place to end their days, the able-bodied should have opportunities to contribute, the young should have opportunities to grow, and the widowed, orphaned, lonely, and disabled should all be cared for." This symbolizes the DPP team's desire to care for every citizen.
