Children of God: The stories of Saint Maria Goretti and the people in the gospel reminded us that faith and mercy possess great power. Human suffering never escaped the attention of Jesus because He cared deeply for wounded hearts. God continued touching lives through faith that refused to give up and forgiveness that refused to become bitter. Healing will not always erase scars immediately, but God still transforms pain into hope and renewal. May we continue reaching for Christ no matter how wounded or discouraged we become.
