The Wrong Deer Showed Up in Peru | Intisuyu | theHunter: Call of the Wild

Day 3 in Intisuyu Peru brings another rough fate card in theHunter: Call of the Wild. This time we were locked into pump action and air rifle weapons, had to start in the northwest, hunt at dusk, keep the South American tapir off limits, and every harvest had to be made at 150 meters or less. For the loadout we brought the Frost .257, the Vasquez Cyclone .45 Big Bore Air Rifle, and the Couso Model 1897. We also pushed through a bit of the mission arc with the Dahler Reverse Draw CB-150, getting more into what Peru is building with its missions and new gear. The hunt got into cinnamon teal, whitetail deer, taruca, vicuña, and a puma that should have been a diamond before I made a mess of it. That one hurt, but that is part of the 7 Day Hunt. You take the shot, live with it, and keep moving. The main conversation in this episode is the whitetail deer in Peru. They do not feel the same as the North American whitetail we are used to, and I think Expansive Worlds had a real chance to adjust them more toward the area instead of making them feel like the same old whitetail dropped into a different reserve. This one also keeps pushing through early thoughts on Intisuyu, the mission structure, animal placement, and how this new Peru reserve is starting to feel once the hype settles and the real hunting starts.
