Tennis with the Romanovs
Nicholas’s great passion was lawn tennis. He first got real sight of the game during his visits to England, in 1896, and began playing almost every day. Five tennis courts were soon set up in different royal estates. The family and their friends, all shared Nicholas’s affection for the game.
