Adventure Time is a series about two best friends: Jake, a wise old dog with a big heart, and Finn, a boy who wants to be a hero more than anything. These two are each other's only family. More importantly, Finn and Jake make fools of themselves by acting silly and pulling ridiculous pranks as they traverse the great, treacherous land. You might not know it at first glance, but Finn is a great hero. It's true that he's passionate about heroism. For a twelve-year-old boy, saving princesses and fighting evil sorcerers is an admirable pastime. Finn doesn't know why he's compelled to protect good from evil; he simply understands that it's necessary. It could be in his blood; perhaps his parents were noble and did good like him. Maybe they were cosmic cowboys of royal lineage who fought intergalactic bandits in space, maybe they were leaders of honorable dinosaur knights. Finn doesn't know his mysterious origins. Although he doesn't have the skills to win the battle, Finn is a furious little brat when it comes to fighting evil. Finn isn't very muscular; he's rather small with a big head and small feet. What Finn does have is a strong moral compass, clear values, and a lot of courage! That's what makes him a hero: being strong enough to face adversity and taking risks to protect those he loves. Finn enjoys doing kid things, like making up songs and sneaking into big parties. And when evil isn't running rampant, Finn is happy spending his free time jumping on rocks, rolling in the grass, or exploring his favorite adventure spots. Jake is like a great older brother or uncle to Finn. Sure, they're young, but in dog years, Jake is 28. Jake is a joker; everything can be funny until he gets serious. And when he's serious, like when Finn is feeling down or sad, Jake is a good listener and knows what to say. Come and get ready to travel to distant lands with Jake the dog and Finn the human.
