With the speed plate on top of the stove the distance is 1.25” TESTS • Esbit test – 19:38 to boil two cups water at 80F using original burn plate / 17:09 with speed plate on top of stove • Wood test – using vertical stacked hardwood and top-down burn – 6:17 to boil two cups of water at 80F using speed plate placed on top. Flame out at 27:00 minutes • Alcohol test – 8:33 to boil two cups of water at 80F using Trangia set on top of the cap and speed plate on top of stove.
