2010s Ital Resina Coin Operated Horse Kiddie Ride - Double Pony

Filmed at Haven Golden Sands Holiday Park, Mablethorpe on October 3rd 2024. Manufactured by Italian company Ital-Resina, the Double Pony ride is distributed in the UK by SB Machines. It comes in a variety of different colours. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen two that are exactly alike! The horse mould is clearly based on Cogan's Pony Express but the horses now have seats and seatbelts...no doubt to conform with modern health and safety laws. The pay system is also updated for modern ideas. Whereas in the past, double rides used to operate both toys on one coin, these are actually two separate units on one base. Rather disappointing really. Oh, for the days when rides were nice little 20p things...or 6d for those who remember that long ago!
