This is not the type of video anyone wants to make. Sadly I must report that the little calf has passed away. Although the mother Bison Cow was a first time mother you can tell from the footage that she was very attentive. I have few details other than it was from natural causes. I'm not sure how much more information I will be able to obtain. What I can tell you is that the timing was not ideal. The calf was born at the beginning of our ongoing heatwave. Temperatures have been in the low to mid 90s with heat indexes well over 100 degrees. #oldschoolalaska #bisoncalf
