An analysis of Ousainou Bojang's recent interview

On Saturday’s Voice of the People show, AG Radio panelists discussed and shared their views on the recently aired interview of Ousainou Bojang with Kerr Fatou. AG Radio acknowledged Kerr Fatou for conducting what it described as a long-awaited interview. As the interview was conducted in Mandinka, AG Radio panelist Bura Dibba translated much of Bojang's remarks into Wolof, making the discussion accessible to a wider audience. The panelists described their analysis as candid, straightforward, and objective. According to the panel, many of the issues and revelations raised by Bojang had already been discussed on AG Radio during the years he was detained at Mile 2 Central Prison. The panel further argued that Bojang's discharge and acquittal represented a significant setback for the government of President Adama Barrow and was an embarrassing outcome for the state. Despite the court's decision of acquittal and discharge, the panel said one fundamental question remains unanswered: Who killed Police Constable Pateh Jallow and First Class Police Constable Sang Gomez, and who shot and wounded First Class Woman Police Constable Ancy Jawo? The panel concluded that until this question is answered, it is likely to remain a matter of public concern and continue to weigh heavily on the minds of many Gambians.
