Louisiana Book Festival 2008 - Julia Reed
A writer at "Vogue" and a contributing editor for "Newsweek" magazine, author Julia Reed moved to New Orleans in 2005, just in time to appreciate the Hurricane Katrina post-storm perspective from her Garden District home. Her books focus around food and life in the South, and include "Queen of the Turtle Derby," "The House on First Street: My New Orleans Story," and "Ham Biscuits, Hostess Gowns, and Other Southern Specialties: An Entertaining Life (with Recipes)." In her humorous style, Reed shares stories from her life that will undoubtedly resonate with Southerners.
