The three most famous markets are Souk Jara, the Gold Souk and Souk El-Khodra. Souk El-Khodra is the market in the alleys behind the Husseini Mosque. The vendors here speak English because they are used to travelers. They offer food to try, are friendly, let you take pictures, and some stalls are famous among locals for their particularly good goods.
