Fermented BLACK GARLIC & Superfood Tour!

Fermented Black Garlic is one of the craziest superfoods I've come across! Slow roasted and fermented, this white garlic turns naturally pitch black and becomes like a gummy bear packed with vitamins and nutrients. Jim of Empathy Herbal is an Australian who came across these unique foods while surfing all over Indonesia. Now he has a small factory and working with local Acehnese people in Sumatra he creates and sells black garlic, moringa. red ginger, turmeric and other wild blends of jamu (herbs) all over. Today we take a tour of his facility near Banda Aceh and learn about his business and all the health benefits. We visit a local fish market, see his factory and process, hear about his story creating this lifestyle business and anti-inflammatory goals, explore the mountains to find some wild fruits and plants, and enjoy a meal with his Indonesian family.
