Lightning Returns was simultaneously the worst part, but also maybe the definitive end of a controversial era for Square Enix. So whats up with Lightning Returns? Or as some call it, Final Fantasy XIII-3 (13-3 for the ones who wanna save time). Maybe you've played this game. Maybe you haven't. Maybe you quit on Final Fantasy XIII-2. I know I did back in the day. This game is weird. I mean really weird. Not only is it almost nothing like FF13 or FF13-2, it's nothing like any other game in the entire Final Fantasy series. Lightning Returns is... Well, if I've already started off with ellipses, you know it's gonna be a complex topic.
