Umair Khan is a mechanical engineer-turned educationist who is currently working with Durbeen, a non-profit education company, and teaching mathematics courses to students of the 4-year B.Ed (Honors) program at the Durbeen-adopted Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad, Karachi. He is a Fulbright Scholar who studied education policy at Harvard University and has been serving the education sector of Pakistan in different roles and capacities for the past six years. Durbeen is a non-profit education company that aims to raise the standard of education in Pakistan's government schools by staffing them with professionally-qualified teacher graduates of revamped Government Colleges of Teacher Education.
