Un réfugié malien à Gorom-Gorom: loin de chez moi, mais chez moi!

This report was produced on the sidelines of the 2017 Ciné Droit Libre film festival in Ouagadougou, which focused on the theme of migration. -- Fleeing rebellion and terrorism at the beginning of the crisis in northern Mali, more than 32,000 Malian refugees arrived in Burkina Faso. Most of them settled in refugee camps set up for this purpose. Moussa Maïga, however, chose to settle outside the reception centers and build his own house in Gorom-Gorom. Moussa now works as a mason in the town of Gorom-Gorom. He has made new friends, and his family has integrated perfectly into the local community. Today, he is leading a new life and suggests that, despite everything, he feels at home in Gorom-Gorom. A portrait of a refugee determined to succeed despite life's difficulties.
