Desabamento de casa deixa um morto na zona leste de São Paulo

Part of a residence that functioned as a boarding house collapsed in the Jardim Buenos Aires neighborhood, in the east zone of São Paulo. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday (24) and left at least one confirmed fatality: Flávio, a 62-year-old electrician. The place housed about 60 residents distributed in 33 rooms. According to witnesses, rooms with bathrooms cost R$ 500, while those without bathrooms cost R$ 400. The residence was isolated by the Military Police for forensic investigation. Residents had previously reported concerns about the structural conditions of the property due to leaks and visible cracks in the columns and floors.
