Talk Like an Epidemiologist: Critical Appraisal

Critical appraisal is an essential skill for public health practice, research, and the AFPHM oral examination. In this webinar we will review critical appraisal of various epidemiological studies. We will cover the key questions to ask while critically appraising a study, and how the answers to these questions can impact on the results and conclusions of a study. Presenter: Dr Jonathan Malo is a public health physician working currently as the A/Medical Director of the Communicable Diseases & Infection Management Unit in the Communicable Diseases Branch of Queensland Health. He completed the Master of Philosophy Applied Epidemiology program at Australian National University as part of his public health medicine training, and has previous experience as a consultant epidemiologist for the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office.
