I couldn't forget Le Bacchus, so I returned on my next trip to Burgundy. I carefully asked if they could make a steak tartare using Charolais beef, the famous but lesser-known French white cattle breed. They told me that even if they didn't have any on hand, they'd find some and prepare it for me. This time, I enjoyed classic Burgundian escargots, œufs meurette, delicious Charolais beef dishes, and wonderful local wines. The food was just as memorable as before, and the service somehow became even better. If 10 is perfect, I'd give their hospitality an 11 out of 10.
