Book a call → https://calendly.com/esaias-burnette/... --- You found the right person for the role. They are skilled, reliable, affordable, and ready to work. The only difference is that they work remotely. Now you need to decide how they should access your business systems without creating unnecessary costs, security risks, or support problems. In this video, I explain the four main ways to set up a remote employee: • Give them a company laptop • Provide a virtual computer they can access online • Give them controlled access to online business tools • Allow them to work from their personal computer I also explain when a hybrid setup makes sense, allowing employees to perform simple work from their own device while using a controlled environment for sensitive information and applications. There is no single setup that is right for every remote worker. The correct option depends on the work they perform, the information they access, the amount of control your business needs, and the budget available. TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Introduction 02:11 The Four Remote-Work Options 04:08 Option 1: Company Laptop 09:21 Option 2: Virtual Computer 14:33 Option 3: Online Business Tools 17:58 Option 4: Personal Laptop 21:44 When to Use a Hybrid Setup 23:37 How to Choose the Right Setup 25:09 What to Do Next Before choosing a setup, ask four questions: • What work will this person perform? • What company information will they access? • How much control does the business need? • What can the business reasonably afford? A personal laptop may work perfectly for a contractor performing low-risk, public-facing work. A company laptop may make more sense for a full-time employee handling sensitive or regulated information. A virtual computer can keep company files inside a controlled environment without shipping physical hardware. Online business tools can support browser-based work, provided access is configured and controlled correctly. The goal is not to give every remote employee the most expensive setup. The goal is to match the technology to the role and the risk.
