Vilu Reef Beach and Spa Resort Maldives Travel Vlog

This is my first Travel Vlog. The Vilu Reef Beach and Spa Resort Maldives......this is the first of many that I will be doing as we travel around the world.... http://sunaqua.com/vilureef We travelled from the UK on September 28th and stayed until October 12th 2015 at Vilu Reef Beach Resort in The Maldives which has recently been upgraded to a 5 star resort and has the name of Sun Aqua Vilu Reef . When we arrived on the Seaplane which was an experience in itself, we were greeted warmly by the Resort staff and taken to a comfortable place to rest in the bar by the beach whilst they sorted out our passports and room nos etc.....and we were given Coconut Water and a Cold flannels....amazing!! Oh and by the way as soon as we arrived we were also greeted by many stingrays all next to the beach where they come every evening.... Then we were escorted to our Luxury Beach Villa and shown around some of the resort...and settled in. The whole 2 weeks was an experience we will never forget...everything was perfect!! The accomadation is first class, really cool outdoor shower and bath all very new and the bed was soooo comfortable. The resort is like paradise, the food is very very tasty and with numerous choices every evening we never got bored. Full board is great as you have all 3 meals included but it doesnt include alcohol which comes with I believe Fully Inclusive, but we dont really drink so it didnt bother us. Fresh bottles of drinking water in our room every day and the room boy cleaned the room twice a day, he couldnt do enough for us. The pool and the snorkeling were brilliant, with crystal clear water and numerous colourful fish. And the highlight of our holiday were the people and also the diving. We made many friends and our waiter that stayed with us all week Aalim was so lovely and we have kept in touch since. Also Thanveer who made sure that my birthday was celebrated with a chocoolate birthday cake...a real suprise. The chefs and all the restaurant staff were so friendly. But if you come here to dive then you will not be disappointed at all. I want to say thank you to Azeem who got me through my Padi Open Water Course. His help and support were incredible in and out of the water and we will definately be back next christmas. We really wanted to stay and would have done if we could. Next time we will definately stay longer as there are numerous dive sites we have not yet explored. The Whale Shark Trip with SunDiving was incredible as instead of Whale Sharks we were able to snorkel with 2 massive Manta Rays, that stayed around our boat playing for about an hour, we got some incredible footage!! The weather was incredible staying at around 30 degrees as well as the water temperature, and the resort has just rebranded to a 5 star resort, it certainly met that level of service. I would highly recommend this resort you will not be disappointed and although we thought about the water villas the beach villas were better for us. If you can get one on the side of the snorkelling area they are slightly better as there is nothing like waking up in the morning and walking a few yards down to the sea to watch baby Black Tip Reef Sharks playing in the shallows. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUse...
