NUX NBP-5 vs SANSAMP Bass Driver D.I. - bass preamp comparison (NO TALKING) #nux #nbp5 #sansamp

SOME INFO AND MY THOUGHTS: These two pedals are totally different but both are GREAT. I've plugged the bass through Boss LS-2, split between two preamps and then to Steinberg UR-22. I've adjusted the amount of "level" for each pedal by setting it equal to bypass volume. As you can see I needed to repeat it for Drive tests. I've been using Sansamp for over 10 years and my favorite setup is with the "blend" knob turned at 10-11 clock (so I'm barely using drive/presence). I think Sansamp is a kind of “sound enricher” for my bass. The NBP-5 also has a "blend" knob but it works different. It's only affecting the drive amount. In my opinion, the blend knob of NBP-5 could be replaced by "drive volume" - because if your desired sound is both "drive" and "blend" at max, then the clean channel is much quieter. You can power Sansamp by phantom power or 9V battery. For powering the NUX you always need to use adapter. NUX also has a built-in noise gate, AUX input, headphones out and USB port - if you want to play with in-depth settings (powerfull editing software for different kind of amps, IRs.)
