But, it hasn't always been big drops and shredding gnarly trails. The rigged frame and lack of suspension in the early mountain bikes made it difficult do much more than go straight. Over the years, the evolution of the modern mountain bike has opened the doors to a vast landscape of new terrain, and the progression of the sport has been unstoppable since. To celebrate the evolution of the cycle, Darren Berrecloth shreds some of BC's finest and explains why he fell in love with going really fast down a mountain on two wheels.
