Blended Family Tuesday: Home Fire Escape Plan. Today we take you through our Fire Exit Plan in the event that we had a Home Fire. It always seems like the most chilling stories of home fires occur around the holidays. We wanted to share with you how we have set up our exit teams and our exit plans. Please remember to check your fire alarm batteries every six months! Mom, Dad and all four children sleep upstairs with our doors closed. I was concerned if this was safe and did some research. I found that plenty of research supports sleeping with the doors closed.
