🎥Reacting to WEAPONS // 😱 A New Horror Staple? For Me It Is! // 2025 / First Time Watch

Hello everybody ♥ I loved this horror movie! Just like how Klaus is one of my new holiday staples, Weapons is definitely a new horror staple now (for me). The way the story unfolded was so well done. Also, Alex's actor did a fantastic job; he was so sweet and brave. I felt so bad for his character, but I was super proud of him at the end. I hope he will have an easier life from now on, and his parents will hopefully recover even a little. Gladys' character was so manipulative and was spot on for how abuse can function sometimes. I disliked her so much, but in the end, she was fallible and human, and she got what she deserved. It just sucks that so many people had to be impacted by her actions. Speaking of which, all the actors we got a perspective on were fantastic, bringing their own special qualities to the film. I also felt like the parasite/zombie-cordyceps element tied into Gladys thematically, with her kind of being like the fungi, taking over people and acting like a parasite leaching people's life force. I'm also curious whether there could ever be future movies set in the same universe, and whether or not they would also follow witchcraft, or if there would be some other element causing trouble. It took me some time to figure out what the title meant, and I think it's multi-layered. I saw a comment on how anything can be weaponized, and in this film, it referred to the people becoming weaponized, literally, but also potato peelers, familial love, human fallibility, politeness, addiction, etc. It all depends on what is going on in someone's life. It was also like a modern-day fairytale (the darker ones from back in the day), even in how it ends. It's a horror staple for me now!
