Líder do PCC, Ferrugem é morto em troca de tiros com a polícia na Grande São Paulo

Carlos Alves Vieira, known as Ferrugem and one of the leaders of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), died during a shootout with the Rota team in Itaquaquecetuba, on Friday afternoon (28). The agents were met with gunfire upon arrival at the scene. After the confrontation that resulted in Ferrugem's death, the authorities seized a large quantity of drugs and weapons. Ferrugem was an influential figure within the PCC and commanded criminal activities mainly in the Itaim Paulista neighborhood, in the east of São Paulo, and neighboring municipalities such as Ferraz de Vasconcelos and Mogi das Cruzes. Wanted by the Justice system for various crimes, including large-scale drug trafficking and armed threats against debtors, he already had more than 18 entries in the judicial system. His rapid rise within the faction led Ferrugem to the "final tuning," the group responsible for the PCC's internal strategic decisions.
