Catching live bait is never an easy task; especially in winter, finding them in seasonal weather and sea conditions (rain, rough seas, dirty water) is certainly not the easiest task in the world! Another level of difficulty is the weather: ideal trolling conditions rarely arise, and when they do, there's little you can do: you need to get into action as soon as possible to make the most of them! These are the premises of this episode, filmed just before Christmas, when live bait was nowhere to be seen, and the weather and sea conditions were barely acceptable for venturing out to sea. Saverio, armed with the brand new and shiny Skipjack Live Trolling rig and a rich arsenal of dead squid to hook onto his rigs, sets off for the Tuscan sea. The goal: to find a snapper (preferably a large one) to bring to the table on Christmas Eve. This is a great excuse to discover all the secrets of using dead bait!
