Practitioners and students of Yang Style Tai Chi will find this video a good guide and reference for them in consolidating and improving their practice. 杨式太极刀和太极剑一样,是由太极拳发展而来的,具有太极拳练习的一般特点和要求。但是,太极刀和太极剑也有区别,如“剑重轻灵,刀求稳重“,“刀如猛虎,剑似飞凤”,“刀走黑,剑走青”(即刚猛与轻灵之别)等说法。太极刀较为威猛,而太极剑更显潇洒,在手法和运用方面也有区别。如太极刀与太极拳、剑的运动,都是圈,而刀法运行的圈,“缠头过脑”为其突出特点。缠头刀,即手举过头,刀尖下垂,刀背从肩外贴脊背向身后缠绕。 过脑刀是举刀高过头,或转身,或转刀,使刀从头顶绕过,但刀背不贴脊背。缠头过脑,攻防兼备,配合腰功,能使出几倍于手臂的力量。 杨式太极刀的传授,其动作顺序都是用歌诀贯穿。歌诀; 太极刀诀; 七星跨虎交刀势,腾挪闪展意气扬, 左顾右盼两分张,白鹤展翅五行掌, 风卷荷花叶内藏,玉女穿梭八方势, 三星开合自主张,二起脚来打虎势, 披身斜挂鸳鸯脚,顺手推舟鞭作篙, 下势三合自由招,左右分水龙门跳, 卞和携石凤还巢。
