The BEST Way To Clean SUEDE Air Jordan 1 Travis Scott

Welcome to another episode of Shoe Care Academy with Vick Almighty! In this video, Vick will work his magic on one of the final colorways of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low series: the "Velvet Brown" Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low colorway. For this video, Vick will be using the Essential Shoe Cleaning kit and Dry Suede kit. For before-and-after purposes, Vick will only clean one shoe. To start, he unlaces the shoe and removes the insole to ensure a detailed clean. Before getting rid of the first layer of dirt, Vick grabs a pick to remove the rocks and any other debris caught in between the Air Jordan 1 outsole traction. This will make the cleaning a lot easier. To clean these, Vick grabs the brush in the Dry Suede kit and uses it along with the air compressor to eliminate as much dirt as possible. If you don't have access to a compressor, you can simply dry brush, use canned air, or even head to your local car wash and use the compressor there. With it being a heavy suede sneaker, getting rid of as much dirt as possible before getting the sneaker wet is a crucial step. The Essential Shoe Cleaning kit, with its mat, towel, brushes, shoe trees, and solution, will do the heavy lifting. After inserting the shoe tree and putting the solution in the bowl of water, Vick grabs the Stiff Bristle Brush to clean the midsole and outsole. During this step, the drier the upper, the better the cleaning will be. Vick grabs a pair of Reshoevn8r wipes to clean the signature backward Swoosh and tongue. In the meantime, Vick gets to work on the laces by dipping them in the leftover water and solution. Due to heavy wear, the wax laces lost their shine, so Vick grabbed a few tools to make them look brand new. The shoe also lost a bit of color, so the Reshoevn8r Mink Oil will bring that pop back to life with just a few coats. Once applied, Vick grabs the horsehair brush to make sure that Mink Oil gets the job done. Vick grabs the deodorizer to make sure the shoe is as fresh as can be before lacing it up.
