The LAST DAY Of London Bus Route R6 EXPLAINED (London Bus Changes) To Be Replaced By Route B14

Today is the last day of London bus route R6. This route will be withdrawn tomorrow, being replaced by route B14. The R6 runs from Orpington Station to Orpington Station via St Mary Cray. The route serves Orpington War Memorial, The Walnuts Centre, Carlton Parade, Lower Road, The Temple, Manning Road, Palmarsh Close, Wotton Green, Station Road and St Mary Cray Station Approach. After stopping at St Mary Cray / Station Approach, The R6 runs back to Orpington, stopping at 2 more stops in St Mary Cray. 0:00 Route R6 6:37 Journey (with captions) 10:00 Compilation The R6 runs around every 30 minutes during the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays. It runs every 60 minutes on Sundays and at night on weekdays. The R6 runs from around A full journey from Orpington to Orpington via St Mary Cray takes less than an hour. A journey from Orpington to Mary Cray takes around 15 to 30 minutes. The R6 is the only TfL route to serve areas east of St Mary Cray, such as Wotton Green. The B14 will be rerouted between St Mary Cray and Carlton Parade (Orpington). Instead of running direct via Cray Avenue, The route will run via the R6's current line of route. Bus stops currently served by the R6 will instead be served by the B14. The B14 will continue to run every 30 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturday. The evening frequency will be increased to every 30 minutes. The Sunday service will also change. Buses will now run every 30 minutes instead of every 60 minutes from 06:00 until Midnight. This will be an improvement for users of the R6, Who currently have an every 60 minute service on Sundays. Route R6 is operated by Go-Ahead London. It runs from Orpington (MB) garage. The R6 uses ADL Enviro200s from 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. Wright StreetLites from 2012 and 2015 are also used. The R6 uses two buses for most of the day. It was initially operated by Crystals using Optare Solos. In 2003, the route was included in the sale of Crystals to Tellings Golden Miller. Tellings Golden Miller's Crayford garage was sold to Metrobus in 2005. Plaxton Pointer 2 Dennis Darts replaced the Optare Solos in 2006. In December 2006, First London began running the R6 with Marshall Capitals. However, First's Orpington garage was sold to Metrobus in 2007. In 2017, new Wright StreetLites entered service on the R6. (ignore this part) Route R1 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The frequency will be increased to every 20 minutes during the daytime on Sundays, no change at any other time Route R2 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. The times of the first buses will change on Monday to Saturdays with buses one hour earlier than current, the new times of first buses will be 0527 from Biggin Hill Valley and 0605 from Orpington Town Centre Route R3 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
