We study the self-willed king's nature: tyranny, self-exaltation, blasphemy against God, and atheistic persuasion — and how he prospers only until the wrath of God is accomplished. When a nation walks in sin, God raises up wicked rulers as judgment; the path back begins with repentance. The study closes with Alexander and the rise of the Greek empire, to be continued next week.
