Dr. E. Bergman “The YIVO Tradition in Relation to the Formation and Work of the Oneg Shabbat Group”

Dr. Eleonora Bergman examines how the tradition of YIVO influenced the formation and methods of the Oneg Shabbat group. Although its members followed different paths and had diverse experiences, they were united by one goal: the reliable, scholarly documentation of Jewish life and the Holocaust in occupied Poland. The seminar is organized within the framework of EHRI-PL and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the project “Current activities of the Polish National Node of EHRI-PL – the EHRI-ERIC consortium implemented by the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute [ŻIH] for the years 2025–2027 together with national partners.”
