Construção de Maquete de Ferromodelismo HO | Parte 1 | Inspiração, Estrutura, Traçado & Elétrica

In this calm and relaxing video, we begin building an HO scale model railway using Frateschi materials. The project is inspired by mid-century architecture, utilizing modernist buildings and period compositions, with a focus on the RFFSA (Brazilian Federal Railway Network). Therefore, a passenger train (Santa Cruz), with an Fa1 locomotive and Budd wagons, and a freight train with an RS3 locomotive are planned. In this video, you'll follow the process from choosing the theme—marked by the modernist style of the 1950s and 60s—to assembling the base, control panel, track layout, and electrical planning. Inspired by iconic Frateschi constructions and stations like the one in Ribeirão Preto, this project reproduces typical elements from the Brazilian industrialization era during the JK government, with trains from the Federal Railway Network, including passenger trains and a freight train pulled by an RS3 locomotive. 🛠️ What you'll see in this episode: • Model theme and aesthetics Mid-Century architecture, real-world references, and historical setting of the 1950s-60s in Brazil. • Model base construction How to structure a lightweight and resistant model with a polystyrene core and wooden frame. Why use polystyrene? How to glue, reinforce, and level the surface using joint compound. • Control panel assembly Creation in wood and MDF to accommodate controllers, turnout actuators, turntable actuators, and operating switches — all organized for ease of use. • Track layout Configuration similar to classic Frateschi models, with an independent external line for the passenger train. • Electrical system Circuit planning, red/black wire connections, actuators, turnout protection, and panel organization. 🚂 Who is this video for? • Beginner and advanced model railroaders • Mid-Century architecture enthusiasts • Those seeking to learn how to build realistic model railroads • Fans of Brazilian railway history • Those who want to build their first lightweight, sturdy, and functional model railroad 📢 Participate in the construction!
