Interstitial - Dungeon synth doom jam #34

Daw-less hardware synth jam with mostly analog (or analog emulated) synth gear recoded live. Each jam I use different combinations of gear (and sometimes guitar) to compose and improvise a song in a single evening, often with the help of my cat Edgar. In this jam I am going for a dungeon synth /doom metal jam with a soaring melody. Here the lead guitar is entirely improvised. For me this means listening for the chord changes and choosing notes that make sense in that context. This doesn't mean choosing notes that are always from the chord, it could be landing on a specific note for the new bar or specifically changing up repeating phrase. I also have to practice fretboard knowledge which I forget quickly when I don't use it! The massive sounding delay generating self-oscillating feedback is produced by the Boss TE-2 and I think it sounds great. Synth Gear: Moog Grandmother, Arturia Keytep 37, Korg Volca FM 2, Chase Bliss Onward, Alesis SR-18 drum machine Guitar: Jackson dk 7, Ibanez tube screamer, Suhr Riot distortion, Boss Terra Echo (Darkstar pictured but not used)
