Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 Flight WN1790 Final Descent to New York City, NY. - READ DESC.
Video Recorded on April 7, 2026: Note to you that I didn’t film a whole lot this time when I went to New York City that I did over the past few times I’ve gone. There are also certain places I forgot to visit, such as the Hyatt Centric. But I did finally get to visit the Vessel attraction that I can’t wait to release a video of that unique elevator! Not only that, but I also finally get to ride the inclined elevator at 34th St./Hudson Yard MTA Subway Station that I’ve been wanting to see for at least a year or two. Oh and did I also forget the high rising Otis Elevonic 401 elevators at the Metropolitan Tower that @iforgotmyname5610 filmed I believe a year or more ago? Hopefully those specific elevators don’t get modernized anytime soon. Possible chances I could be back in New York City again next year, so I will try to get both the Hyatt and Metropolitan. Any others worth seeing in New York City that’s pretty much popular, do let me know. But on the contrary though, I have a few important things for you to keep in mind: I am not going to the Empire State Building, not because of the elevators that were modernized, but the fact that they totally ripped out that original 1931 manually controlled Otis elevator that goes up to the penthouse. That is a specific elevator I’ve been wanting to see for many years, but after finding out it’s no longer there, I had skipped that place all entirely as it makes no sense going there now for nostalgia sake since I’ve never had a chance to see the original elevator in the first place. I know they kept majority of the parts on display and in action, but still not the same compared to before. Maybe when I have time I might, but most likely not. Also, every high rising tourist attractions are beyond expensive. Like the Empire State building for example, if it’s a certain elevator that is not worth the excitement, I will not be wasting my time seeing something just playing basic compared to a vintage old historic manually controlled elevator, especially when I’m in town for only this much time. On the last note, I know someone begged me to fly JetBlue from Houston directly to New York City. Unfortunately, that’ll likely be an automatic no because I don’t get to choose what airlines to take as what we most rely on is if we’re able to afford it by any chance. So whenever you request things, please take it slowly and one at a time. Hopefully what I have said makes sense to you and that you understand what to expect.
