There's a series of photos from 1954 where Marilyn Monroe is gazing happily at a young woman wearing a Hanbok (a traditional Korean dress). The young woman is Choi Eun-hee, a legend of South Korean cinema. A businessman contacted Choi. He told her to meet him in Hong Kong to discuss the possibility of starting a production company together. The meeting was to be held at Repulse Bay, a luxurious beach in southern Hong Kong. But when Choi arrived, she didn't find the man who had arranged the meeting. Instead, she encountered a group of men who surrounded her. One of them approached her and said, "Ms. Choi, now we're going to the lap of the great leader," and from that moment on, she would experience one of the most horrific moments of her life, and one of the most shocking stories in entertainment history.
