Join us on a scenic road trip from Thimphu to Punakha, taking in the breathtaking views of Bhutan’s countryside. Our journey begins with a stop at the iconic Dochula Pass, where we marvel at the 108 chortens and the panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. Listen to the story behind the 108 chortens. We then enjoy a nice meal at Rincheling Restaurant, a restaurant located at a vantage point in Lobesa overlooking the path to Chimi Lakhang Temple. We also explored a few shops in this unique village also known as the "village of flying phalluses". Next, we explore the majestic Punakha Dzong, a stunning fortress with rich history and beautiful architecture. Our day ends with a peaceful stay at Dhumra Farm Resort, nestled in nature and offering farm-to-table organic food. This is one of the most unique farm stay experiences we had in Bhutan. It is like this tiny heaven tucked away in Punakha overlooking the majestic Punakha Dzong. While the resort itself is incomparable, what makes this place even more interesting are the owners of this place Mr Sangey and Ms Rinzi. They are two gem of a person and care for you like their own family.
