Its mission is to redefine the undergraduate thesis as a life experience, not just a graduation requirement, by showcasing research questions from communities and small businesses through its platform, www.retos.co. It believes that the widespread creation of community-student working groups will enable the collective resolution of the country's problems. Co-founder of Distancia Cero, a social enterprise that seeks to bridge the gap between research and the real needs of Colombia. She studied Industrial Engineering at the Universidad de los Andes. After completing her master's degree in Organizational Design and Management at the same university, she worked as a researcher on the General Royalties System project: Strengthening Community Green Businesses, and as a facilitator in the Sustainable Business Network (RedES-CAR) program at the Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios and the Social Innovation Science Park. She is also part of the founding team of C-INNOVA, a Center for Education and Appropriate Technologies affiliated with the IDIN network, a network promoted by the D-Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
