In an article he wrote 20 years ago, Uğur Mumcu said, "One day, our voices will echo in your ears, my people, do not forget us." In the four years since his death, Uğur Mumcu has not been forgotten; on the contrary, especially after the Susurluk accident and the gang's exposure, the value of Mumcu and his writings has been recognized once again. His meticulous research, like digging a well with a needle, has traced this gang's tracks, identified them name by name, and established the connections between them. Had he not been killed, perhaps he would have exposed today's situation with all its clarity, years before the Susurluk accident, by assassinating them.
