LeetCode 33 - Search in Rotated Sorted Array Explained in C++ | Binary Search
In this video, we solve LeetCode Problem 33: Search in Rotated Sorted Array using C++. We cover: Binary Search Fundamentals Rotated Sorted Array Logic Identifying the Sorted Half Step-by-step Dry Run Optimized O(log n) Solution Time and Space Complexity Analysis Example Input: nums = [4,5,6,7,0,1,2] target = 0 Output: 4 Because the target value 0 exists at index 4. Key Idea Even though the array is rotated, one half of the array is always sorted. For every iteration: Find the middle element. Determine which half is sorted. Check whether the target lies inside that sorted half. Eliminate the other half and continue searching. This clever observation allows us to preserve the efficiency of Binary Search. Why This Problem Matters LeetCode 33 is one of the most important interview questions because it teaches: ✅ Modified Binary Search ✅ Rotated Array Logic ✅ Search Space Elimination ✅ Interview-Level Problem Solving The same concepts are used in problems such as: Find Minimum in Rotated Sorted Array Search in Rotated Sorted Array II Peak Element Binary Search on Answers Problem LeetCode 33 — Search in Rotated Sorted Array Language Used C++ What You'll Learn ✅ Binary Search Mastery ✅ Rotated Array Pattern ✅ O(log n) Problem Solving ✅ Interview-Favorite Techniques If you enjoyed the video, make sure to: 👍 Like 💬 Comment 🚀 Subscribe More LeetCode videos coming daily 🚀 #leetcode #cpp #dsa #binarysearch #arrays #programming #codinginterview #leetcode33 #rotatedsortedarray #cplusplus #algorithms #interviewprep #competitiveprogramming
