The $10 Mod That Saves Your Excavator | H15R Electrical Upgrades

I’m continuing the H15R winter modification series by fixing the biggest factory flaw: the lack of electrical protection and temperature monitoring. Today we install a 6-circuit fuse block, dual cooling fans, and a digital hydraulic temp gauge to prevent pump failure. In this Winter Series episode I finish the electrical upgrades on my H15R mini excavator and turn it into a much more usable (and safer) machine. Here’s what I install and why: ✅ 6-circuit fuse block (central power + clean wiring) Fused main feed from the battery Dedicated grounds tied into the engine ground point Individual fused circuits for every add-on ✅ Switch panel on the armrest (with lights + battery meter + USB) Two switched circuits for the cooling fans (with indicator lights) Battery voltage display so I can see charging status instantly USB ports to keep my phone powered while operating ✅ 10-inch auxiliary fan mount (done the RIGHT way) I show why the strap-through-radiator method is a bad idea Swapped to a solid bolt-on mount so it’s secure and vibration-safe ✅ Digital hydraulic oil temperature gauge (Fahrenheit/Celsius) Easy install: one cutout on the dash + one drilled hole in the tank lid Probe is held with a simple rubber grommet plug Now I can SEE hydraulic temps while I’m operating (instead of guessing) ✅ Battery terminal extender / jump point Makes it easy to jump, charge, or hook up a trickle charger without tearing the machine apart Also fixes the battery cable/terminal clearance after the cushion valve install If you’re doing H15R electrical mods, Chinese mini excavator fuse block, hydraulic temp gauge install, fan wiring, or battery jump post, this video walks through the whole setup step-by-step.
