Autumn Evening

An autumn evening with the flock, including Diana Barry, one of the prettiest pullets I have ever seen (if you know ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, you will spot her right away!); repeat appearances well Buff Orpington Baguette; a little chatty gossip from Easter Egger Owlet; half-Orpington cockerel Hoss being booted from his dust bath by hens not once, but twice; a quick look at Silver and her newest peeps; the fancy feathery feet of all three cockerels (the other two are Caruso, the grey and copper, and Carnotaur, the colorful copper one with fluffy Easter Egger cheeks); and more! Many of the birds are molting, including Buckeye Affogato, who will probably not forgive me for including her. ;) Please excuse the glimpse of my hand. Most of this was done in one long shot. Hey, it's Friday! We are beginning to build a run extension for our older rooster, Strawberry, and a few retired hens. Gleam has not been very kind to his father, having deposed Strawberry earlier this year.
