Introduction to SPC Session 2
The ASQ Statistics Division would like to invite you to an introduction to Statistical Process Control, one of the main tools used throughout the world to improve quality and productivity. The aim of the course is to help those who are new to quality with understanding process variation and how to map the process over time. This course assumes no understanding of statistics or math. It is focused on plotting the variation inherent in a process or activity and how to interpret what is going on in a process. The course will be offered as a 4-session course at 1 PM Central time on alternating Fridays beginning on September 20th with each session lasting one hour. There is no cost to participate in this course. The sessions will be recorded in case you cannot attend the live presentation. The second session introduces Shewhart charts with the focus on X-bar/R and Individuals and Moving Range charts. There will be examples of how these charts are used in manufacturing, service and healthcare.
