1700 miles in a Tiny Speedboat - 27 - Nearly Home

Goodwin's circumnavigation of the UK continues as we head along the coast from Sussex into Essex. In this episode Richard joins me for a daytrip and we head 7 miles out to the remains of the ruined Gunfleet light, an ancient old metal lighthouse on a sandbank. Abandoned since the 1950s. More info on the Lighthouse here: http://www.offshoreradiomuseum.co.uk/... This is an experimental bike-boat trip. We were given two snazzy electric fold-up bikes by Engwe and took them with us in the boat. They just about squeezed in and happily got us the 30 miles back to get the car and trailer although it was rather more of a journey than we originally anticipated. Here are the bikes we've got: https://engwe.com/products/engwe-p20 The final chapter isn't too far off.
