In 2026, Agência Pública celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking the occasion with the event “Telling Brazil: a celebration of journalism that informs and mobilizes,” held in March in partnership with Sesc. Three panels featured prominent figures reflecting on the challenges of journalism and reinforcing its essential role in defending democracy. Here at Pauta Pública, we prepared special episodes with an edited version of each conversation. In this episode, the last in the series, the debate was moderated by Pública's editor-in-chief, Bruno Fonseca. The panel included Carol Pires, journalist, screenwriter, and host of the podcast Duas e Tanto; Elaine Silva, managing partner of the Alma Preta portal; and Eugênio Bucci, advisor to Agência Pública and professor at ECA-USP.
