Route des Grandes Alpes #francia

On this trip, we started from home and, crossing the entire Po Valley, on the first day, we reached the Colle del Nivolet, a spectacular plateau located in the Aosta Valley on the border with France. From there, we headed towards France, passing through the Great St. Bernard Pass, which took us first into Switzerland and then through a series of gorges to Chamonix, crossing stunning passes and valleys, finally reaching Cluses, where we began our Route des Grandes Alpes. We first crossed the Col de la Colombiere, the first of a very long series of passes including L'Iseran, L'Isorad, La Cayolle, and last but not least La Bonette, which, with its record as the highest paved road in Europe, brought us back to Italy. But we cannot forget the most famous gorges in France, from the Gorges du Veron to the Gorges du Cians, the Gorges du Daulis and many others. This trip took us to all the most beautiful peaks of the French Alps and the most spectacular gorges, which rival even the most infamous American canyons. Unfortunately, we couldn't fit more into the video, which was a bit long. If these places inspire you as much as they did us, let us know in the comments.
