đ¨đ Saving life: my first medical emergency flight! Cessna Citation 550 (500 Series) âď¸đ Hi everyone! My name is Konstantin Fedchenko, I am an airline/business jet pilot and aircraft dealer. â ď¸Today, i have a very special episodeâ ď¸: we make an urgent medical flight and help to save someone's life.đ¨ We pick up the team of doctors-trasplantologists from Zagreb (Croatia) and fly to Dusseldorf (Germany) to deliver a donorâs heart for the transplantation. Iâve never done this in my life yet! This is a great experience, a LOT of ADRENALINE and a lot of sense - saving life. It is going to be an intense working evening and a night, the medical flight has no legal time limitation and we should be very prepared and stay on board of an airplane while waiting for doctors and the organ in Zagreb. Medical flightâs call-sign is accompanied by a word âhospitalâ which gives a priority and as much as possible of direct routing and flight level (FL) selection. However, while approaching Dusseldorf, we got ourselves in a line of two other passenger airliners, where emergency circumstances took place on board.
